  4. <para>In order for certain programs to function properly, the proc file
  5. system must be available from within the chroot'ed environment.
  6. A file system can be mounted as many times and in as many places
  7. as you'd like, so it's not a problem that the proc file system is already
  8. mounted on your host system, especially so because proc is a
  9. virtual file system.</para>
  10. <para>The proc file system is mounted under $LFS/proc by running the
  11. following command.</para>
