  21. <para>The stylesheets are capable of generating both default
  22. and custom CSS stylesheet files. The parameters
  23. <parameter>make.clean.html</parameter>,
  24. <parameter>docbook.css.source</parameter>, and
  25. <parameter>custom.css.source</parameter> control that feature.</para>
  26. <para>If you require that CSS styles reside in the HTML
  27. <tag>HEAD</tag> element instead of external CSS files,
  28. then set the <parameter>generate.css.header</parameter>
  29. parameter to nonzero (it is zero by default).
  30. Then instead of generating the CSS in external files,
  31. they are wrapped in <tag>style</tag> elements in
  32. the <tag>HEAD</tag> element of each HTML output file.
